The Gower is famed for its beautiful beaches; Rhossili Bay (13 miles) has 3 miles of golden sands and iconic Worm's Head at one end it's a 2 mile walk to the tip of the headland, which marks the most westerly point of the Peninsula while closer to home, surfer's paradise Caswell Bay is only 4 miles. Cosmopolitan Mumbles (5 miles) is home to independent boutiques, traditional crafts, a Victorian pier and ancient castle; its ice cream parlours and eateries are excellent too. For further local culture Swansea, the second largest city in Wales, is within 7 miles.
