The Welsh countryside surrounds you here. Woodland walks start right from your doorstep. Want beaches? They're a short drive away. The local Daffodil Inn is less than a mile's stroll - perfect for when you can't be bothered to cook or need a pint after a day exploring. The accommodation features a super king-size bed on a quirky mezzanine level (mind those stairs after a few Welsh ales). Downstairs you'll find a well-equipped kitchen with dining area, shower room and all the mod cons including WiFi (bit patchy, but hey, you're in rural Wales). Your private hot tub sits in a secure garden area - perfect for soaking tired muscles while the dog can't escape.

Nearby attractions include New Quay (13 miles) for dolphin watching, Cardigan (14.7 miles) with its castle and shops, Newcastle Emlyn (4.5 miles) for riverside walks and Llandysul (3.8 miles) for kayaking on the River Teifi. The Ceredigion coastline offers stunning beaches and the Wales Coast Path for more ambitious walkers.

Rose Cottage hits the sweet spot for couples. Small but perfectly formed. Dog-friendly without compromising on quality. The hot tub is the cherry on top after days exploring mid-Wales. Book it before someone else does.

Is Rose Cottage Right For You?

Discover why this cottage is ideal for different types of visitors

For Families
Rose Cottage is primarily designed for couples rather than families. The mezzanine bedroom with steep stairs could pose safety issues for young children. There's no dedicated play area or children's facilities. The hot tub requires adult supervision. However, older kids might enjoy the farm setting and nearby beaches. The cottage sleeps only two, so additional accommodation would be needed for families.
For Couples
Rose Cottage is perfect for couples seeking a peaceful getaway. The super king-size bed, private hot tub and cosy living space create an intimate atmosphere. Many reviews mention romantic breaks and honeymoons here. The quiet farm location offers privacy while still being close to pubs and restaurants. After days exploring Wales, return to your secluded hot tub with complimentary robes. Pure relaxation.
Pet Friendly
One well-behaved dog is welcome at Rose Cottage. The hot tub area has secure fencing so your dog can't escape while you relax. Several reviews mention dog treats included in the welcome pack. While there's no grassed garden area specifically for dogs, the rural location offers plenty of walking opportunities nearby. The cottage's stone floors are practical for pet owners.

Rose Cottage Reviews

Christine
Rose Cottage was the most perfectly peaceful and welcoming location to unwind with my little dog. Just a short drive to beautiful beaches, woodland walks and historic sites, with a handy, local, circular walk for the morning before sitting out in the sunny little garden breakfast. The night sky is stunning, with zero light pollution and a delight to view from the hot tub. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe too. The cottage is spotless, cosy, comfortable and well equipped in all areas. Thank you Louise and Terry for the welcome, the lovely treats on arrival and the local information. There is so much more to explore in the area. Wren and I would love to return.

Lovely stay in this relaxing cottage on a farm. Hot tub was great and in a secure garden for the dog. Loads of great walks and a village pub shop in walking distance. Hosts were really friendly and helpful.

This holiday was everything we hoped for. The cottage was as beautiful as described and really felt like a little peace of heaven. The bed very comfortable and the little welcome bits were a lovely touch. Owners very helpful and friendly Hot tub was very well enjoyed each evening after our busy days out It was wellsituated to enable us to get out to lots of different places within hour drive and see this wonderful country. Definitly recommend and will be booking to return
10 night stay in a charming, cosy cottage.
This was our first proper holiday for a while and this was the perfect bolthole to completely unwind and recharge. The cottage was spotlessly clean, cosy and our hosts warm and welcoming. We were given some treats on arrival which was very thoughtful. The hot tub was an added luxury - with fluffy bathrobes to snuggle in afterwards. This is a working farm in a remote location - it was lovely to hear nothing but bird song and the sheep in the mornings. We used the cottage as a base to explore castles, prehistoric sites and the coastline. The village shop at the end of the lane is a tardis - we intended to eat out but ended up cooking every night in the little kitchen. Thanks to our hosts for a great stay - we will be back!
Absolutely perfect
We had a very restful stay at Rose Cottage, the location was a fantastic base to explore the castles, prehistoric sites and coastline of west Wales. Our hosts were very welcoming, the cottage clean and cosy, the bed and sofa very comfortable, and small touches like the fluffy bathrobes to wrap up in after a dip in the hot tub made it all the more special. Thank you for a wonderful 10 night stay we are looking forward to coming back soon.
Rachel

The only thing that would be beneficial would be lighting in Hot Tub area. Beautiful cottage in a lovely rural area. Inside the cottage is tastefully done with lovely little thoughts such as extra towels and Dressing Gowns for the Hot Tub. Blanket and bowel for the dog etc.
Philip
Nice and welcoming hosts and gifts on arrival. Cottage was quirky, exactly as we expected. Nice little patio which could be made more usable to catch the afternoon sun although we made it work. Lovely and quiet location with great walks and beaches nearby, really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely come back again.
A lovely stay at Rose Cottage, home from home everything you need for a nice relaxing break which we needed and got. Stairs were a bit scary but when you got used to them they were ok, A lovely Quiet, Comfy, clean Cottage really loved the reclining chairs so relaxing, also the bed like sleeping on a cloud. The Hot Tub was situated just down from the cottage which was lovely artificial grass as you go in which was lovely, Solar lights around the top of the fence, Just a suggestion could of done with a bit more light perhaps a security one or a onoff one as it was very dark in the nightAll in All though we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the near future.. Thank you to the Hosts
Would definitely stay again, great place to unwind. Beautiful surroundings

Lovely comfortable and clean, quirky cottage with welcoming land owners who put alot of care and thought into their properties. Kind gestures favours on arrival. On our last day a banner in aid of my birthday, very sweet. Will definitely stay again.
Tracey
Had a lovely stay at rose cottage, hosts were lovely. Cottage was immaculate grounds are beautiful and every thing just a short car journey away. Handy little shop and the restaurant just at the bottom of the drive way in to the farm. Cottage is small but has everything you need. Stairs to the amazing bed are not for the faint hearted but did not cause us a issue just think before you step. No negatives from us really enjoyed our stay. Thankyou.
Great little cottage , added bonus of the hot tub , ideal size for two people lovely and clean and comfortable. Hosts were very welcoming and on hand if you needed them .

Fabulous cottage, very comfortable, massive comfy bed and new very comfortable reclining settee. Lovely private hot tub. Very dog friendly. Everything was spotlessly clean. Wern Newydd Farm is such a lovely peaceful place to sit back and relax, which was just what we needed, watch the Red Kites gliding overhead and the night sky is spectacular with stars. The stairs are a nightmare but was advertised as not disable friendly which we are not the cottage at the bottom of farm is much more appropriate for what we would require . Everything you need is close by hosts were amazing
The staircase to the bedroom is narrow and care should be taken when using it. The hospitality was fab and the complimentary pack was much appreciated. This cottage suited us as we are not the tallest of people. We would certainly use this cottage again.
Shelley

We had a wonderful time at Rose Cottage. The owners were most helpful with recommending local walks for us to take our dog. Everything that you needed in a selfcatering cottage was there and it was sparkling clean. We will look forward to booking again!
Had an amazing time at this cottage and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a few days away in the rolling welsh hills. Given the current situation, the cottage was immaculately clean and made it easier for us to enjoy our stay. Would 100 rebook this cottage.
Kenneth
Had a wonderful time at the cottage, it contained everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The cottage was immaculate. Loved the spiral staircase up to the bedroom, although took a bit of getting used to, very comfortable king sized bed and plenty of storage. Well equipped kitchen. Hot tub was a new experience for us and we loved it. We were made to feel very welcome. Thank you.
Russell
The cottage was well proportioned with some modern conveniences such as aircon and tv that connects to netflix and amazon prime. The king size bed had some lovely wooden carvings and plenty of room for storing clothes and suitcases in the bedroom. The Daffodil inn at the top of the farm served a lovely dinner too. The broadband speed wasnt great but that was the only thing which would have improved our stay.
Andrew
Louise and Terry ensured that Rose Cottage had everything you could want for a comfortable stay and we were especially impressed with the attention to little details, which made our holiday so memorable. We had not visited Ceredigion before but were bowled over by how beautiful this area is and how friendly everyone is. Rose cottage is the perfect holiday retreat and a big thank you too from Winnie, our Norfolk terrier. We cannot wait to return!

Thank you Louise & Terry for all your help.
The owners of the property were very friendly and welcoming. A bottle of wine and some toffee waffles were waiting for us on our arrival. The local countryside was beautiful. The shop at the end of the lane was well stocked with lots of vegan and ethical products. We really enjoyed our holiday.
